Delete not interesting columns

first of all I would like to introduce myself as a new follower and maybe new user in the near feature. In my company we are using log4net and have been waiting a long time for a nice log viewer and YAVL! is a serious candidate. Keep going!

In my opinion the XmlLayoutSchemaLog4j layout prints out too much information. And I do not believe that many people needs to know about the machine name, the host name and the user name. For me it is just noise and forces me to scroll horizontally.

What about having the possibility of deleting columns on wish? And maybe by default, display only the most used columns by the community.

Thanks for feedback, I will assess the implementation of this feature in next release!

After having played around with the XmlLayoutSchemaLog4j layout, I decided to write my own layout that will be YAVL compliant.
Basically I want to get rid of the unnecessary info because they make log files grow too fast and they are always the same (pollution).
So I push for that "column display visibility" feature :)

I'm interesting too for this feature and others features related to columns management.
(As add others columns).
Anyone have already anything to put on the source code ?

You can have a look at our port from Yalv to YalvLib to see how columns can be configured:
